Woman Wants Divorce Because She Feels "Choked" By Husband's Extreme Love And Affection
She says she longs "for one day of dispute".
Apparently, doing the bare minimum in a relationship is about to cost a man his marriage because his wife thinks he is "too kind"
A woman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is seeking a divorce because of her husband's "extreme love", according to English language newspaper Khaleej Times.
She told a Sharia court in Fujairah that her husband never argued or yelled at her and was always kind, saying that she felt "choked" by his affection.
"He never yelled at me or turned me down. I was choked by extreme love and affection. He even helped me clean the house.
According to the report, the wife complained to the court saying that her life turned "hell" because the man was so kind to her
He would shower her with gifts, help with the housework, and would sometimes cook for her and there were no disputes in their year-long marriage, she told the court.
"I long for one day of dispute, but this seems impossible with my romantic husband who always forgave me and showered me with gifts," she said.
I need a real discussion, even an argument, not this hassle-free life of obedience.
Khaleej Times reported that once when the wife complained about his weight, the man went on a strict regime of dieting and exercise to get back in shape.
His efforts resulted in an injury and the man suffered a fracture in the leg.
The man, however, asked the court to deny the divorce request, saying that he simply wishes to be "a perfect and kind husband"
"It's not fair to judge a marriage from the first year, and everybody learns from their mistakes," Khaleej Times reported the husband as saying.
The court ordered an adjournment of the case to give the couple a chance at reconciliation.
