The 28-year-old mother of two, however, acknowledged that coming to her home may sound impossible for the Prime Minister because she is only "an ordinary person".

Pavithra harbours an extraordinary wish while being acutely aware of her status as an ordinary citizen, more so amidst the accolades that her YouTube channel — Sugu Pavithra — has brought to her family

Her simplicity has won over millions of Malaysians who are stuck at home as they follow social distancing guidelines to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

To say Pavithra and her husband's fairly new YouTube channel, where she shares easy-to-follow local recipes, is popular would be an understatement. Even the Prime Minister is a fan.

He sent the couple a special delivery, with a note: keep up the good work, just stay at home.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin then followed it up with a call to the 28-year-old mother of two and asked her to keep cooking and share her delicacies with her neighbours.

Pavithra, who admits that she never thought something like this would ever happen, remarked:

Who am I? I am only an ordinary person.

However, she harbours an extraordinary wish.

"I know it may sound impossible for the Prime Minister to come to my home because I am only an ordinary person," she told New Straits Times, expressing her desire to cook for the 73-year-old leader.

According to Pavithra, it's the first thing she would like to do this once the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is lifted in June

"The first thing I would do is to invite the Prime Minister to our humble abode to taste my dishes," New Straits Times quoted her as saying, adding that she would find ways to send him an invitation.

Pavithra said she is hopeful her wish would come true.

When asked by our sister site journalist who went to Sungai Siput to interview her, what would she love to cook for the Prime Minister, Pavithra said Nasi Biryani Kambing and Ayam Masak Merah.
