US Swimmer Missy Franklin, At 18, Became The Youngest Ever Winner Of The Laureus World Sportswoman Of The Year Award
Missy Franklin stole the limelight by winning the World Sportsman and Sportswoman award.

The World Team of the Year award went to Germany's Bayern Munich, while Rafael Nadal received the Laureus Comeback Award.
There was something for India and Afghanistan too at the award nights. Afghanistan cricket team won the Spirit of Sports award, which fought against the odds to qualify for the Cricket World Cup.
Benedict Cumberbatch, host of the night, took over after PM Najib delivered his speech, paying tribute to Laureus Patron Mandela and the journey he took to change the world through sport.
