Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak will officially join well-wishers in welcoming the national Paralympics contingent

Following which, they will be brought to the Paralympics Excellence Centre in Kampung Pandan in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate their outstanding showing, Khairy told reporters during a function at Proton Center of Excellence in Subang Jaya to announce the company's appreciation for the Rio Olympic medallists on 14 September.

"It will be a big do. Wait for the surprise," he said.

Khairy added that their success brought new awareness among Malaysians to give greater recognition to the contributions of people with different abilities.

A heartwarming moment: Khairy helps Olympic medallist Pandelela Rinong put on her jacket during a ceremony at the Proton Excellence Centre on 14 September.
