To promote her latest project, the titular heroine, accompanied by 3 tiny look-alikes, threw the first pitch at the Chunichi Dragons and Hanshin Tigers game on Sat, 25 Aug.
When Sadako, sporting her trademark veil of long black hair, takes the field, three miniature doppelgängers cast a spell on her. She winds up and throws a surprisingly swift pitch right down the pike.

What is "The Ring"?
Ring (リング Ringu?) is a 1998 Japanese horror film by Hideo Nakata, adapted from the novel Ring by Kōji Suzuki, which in turn draws on the Japanese folk tale Banchō Sarayashiki.

The franchise is still going strong in Japan, with "Sadako 3D 2" hitting theatres on Friday (30 Aug) (the undoubtedly superior original "Sadako 3D" came out about 3 months ago).
