There's A Revolutionary Product That Restores Your Water-Damaged Smartphone
If you've ever felt your world go into slow motion as your phone plummeted towards a watery grave, then say hello to Reviveaphone. Reviveaphone claims to rescue and resuscitate a phone, camera or other gadget that's taken the plunge into a toilet, pint or swimming pool .
Oliver Murphy, a 20-year-old inventor turned entrepreneur has devised an ingenious system for bringing phones that have been damaged by liquids back to life
Oliver from Chelmsford, Essex, invented Reviveaphone as a simple way to get water-damaged mobiles back to their original, working state.
dailymail.co.ukReviveaphone comprises a sealable pouch containing a powerful solution to remove corrosive mineral deposits from the water-damaged phone, and a tray to leave the electronic device in for 24 hours to get it back in working order.
telegraph.co.uk“When I was 13, I used to repair phones,” he explained. “I’d buy batches of broken ones off eBay, fix them up and sell them on again. I did that for four years.”
Murphy came across hundreds of water-damaged phones and decided to find a solution. “Most people don’t understand why phones break when they get wet,” he said. “It’s not actually the water, it’s the minerals and deposits in the water which attach to the phone component.”
telegraph.co.ukAfter experimenting with a variety of cleaning agents, Mr Murphy finally landed on a special solution that removed these deposits and left the phone as good as new
He launched his new product, Reviveaphone, in July. Within weeks, he was selling 200 a month through his website.
dailymail.co.ukThe young businessman’s enterprising background has already seen him hailed as ‘the next Alan Sugar’ and his easy-to-use creation impressed dragon Kelly Hoppen MBE in the Den.
telegraph.co.ukShe said: 'I have every faith in Oliver’s passion for Reviveaphone and believe the product he has created is a must-have for any household with a mobile phone.
'The major appeal is that it fixes your drowned smartphone without the need for you to mess around dismantling the thing. It’s just a case of popping it in a bag with solution.'
