Good News: Apple WhatsApp Users Can Now Send Photos & Videos In Original Quality
However, it consumes more mobile data to send each file.
The latest software update from WhatsApp now allows Apple users to send images and videos as documents without compromising their quality
Previously, iOS users could only send images and videos as documents by first manually saving media files as documents.
Even when doing this, the files sent would still be of lower quality, causing many Apple users to use alternative methods to share photos and videos.
On 4 December, WhatsApp rolled out an update to address this issue. It allows Apple users to send media files as a document directly from their photo gallery, while preserving the file's original quality.
To send images and videos in document form, simply tap on the '+' icon in WhatsApp. Then, tap on 'Document,' followed by 'Choose Photo or Video.'
The size limit for each document is capped at 2GB.
However, sharing files in original quality as documents on WhatsApp will consume more data than usual. This is especially true if you are sending large video files.
