Today, 22 Aug, Blizzard announced an expansion called Reaper of Souls that promises to extend the game with significant new content past the already significant patches and tweaks currently available.

The new expansion adds an Act V to the game, boosts the level cap from 60 to 70 for all character classes, and brings a new class—the heavily armored Crusader—into the fold.

"This expansion also represents a big milestone in the ongoing evolution of Diablo III...we think players will love playing, and we can't wait to get it into their hands."

The Crusader wears heavy armour and makes use of "cruel and punishing weapons"

The Crusader is described as "righteous warrior that has been hardened through relentless, brutal combat with the foul evils plaguing eastern Sanctuary."

"This class wears heavy armour and makes use of 'cruel and punishing weapons' as well as battle magic 'to strengthen allies and weaken foes.'"
