[LEAKED] Happy, Shiny, 24-Carat Gold HTC One Mini
Gold smartphones are becoming quite a thing these days with many manufacturers launching their flagship handsets with a gold variant. Reportedly a third-party jeweler is making 24-carat gold edition of HTC One mini.

A third party jeweler is offering a 24-carat gold version of the HTC One
The pictures were sent to the media by an anonymous tipster yesterday. Even though we have no details on pricing or availability, we can confirm that the Gold version of the HTC One mini featured here will ship as a customized gold plated variant.
HTC will not be selling the product since it is most probably being produced by a third-party jeweler like Gold genie. In fact, the aforementioned firm sells gold-plated versions of iPhones, several high end blackberry devices, iPads and more.
The rear panel houses the HTC logo at the centre and includes the primary camera accompanied by an LED flash. However, the leaked images of the rear panel do not include the Beats Audio branding at the bottom.

The HTC One Mini Gold is a genuine one. However, it receives a 24-carat gold plating on its outermost layer from the third party jeweler
To avoid confusion, we'd like to add that while the HTC One and HTC One Mini Gold editions use REAL gold, the iPhone 5S golden version from Apple is just painted in a shade of gold and uses aluminum.
HTC has however been rumoured to be working on gold-coloured (similar to iPhone 5S) version of HTC One but there is not much information regarding the same right now.
