It’s Official, Amazon Is Launching In Malaysia This Year! Here’s What It’ll Look Like
The e-commerce giant is opening up its doors to Malaysians.
Raja Bomoh to be the first special merchant on Amazon Malaysia?
In what looks like an extremely elaborate April Fools' prank, iPrice, which had earlier put out a statement saying that they are going to be Amazon's "affiliate partner" in Malaysia, has now almost come clean with their prank.
According to them, Amazon Malaysia's one of the first special merchants is Raja Bomoh Sedunia Nujum VIP, who is premiering the popular device named "Bomoh Search Engine, Full Set".
"The product set is made exclusively for Malaysians and includes a pair of fresh coconuts, a pair of the “All Seeing Stick”, a wooden basket and a magic carpet. Made in Malaysia, the Bomoh Search Engine is compatible to traditional Bomoh spells and Harry Potter spells," read the statement posted on the iPrice website.
Well played, iPrice! :D
Rejoice, Malaysians! Online shopping giant Amazon is launching in the country later this year.
Together with exclusive affiliate partner iPrice Malaysia, the company has unveiled the first screenshot of the new and exciting online shopping platform - Amazon.my. Here’s a peek at the frontpage of the site:
iPrice, a meta-search website in seven major countries in Southeast Asia, will act as Amazon's prime affiliate partner in the endeavour.
The new e-commerce platform in Malaysia will be guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking.
With Amazon.my, Malaysians will soon have the power to purchase millions of local and international products and have it delivered within the same day
Local businesses that sign up with Amazon as a partner merchant can easily leverage Amazon’s platform and reach to a wider audience like never before.
Amazon will also be launching in Singapore at the same time
If this were to be an April Fools prank, it's one cruel, cruel joke :(
