Samsung's Spokesman LeBron James Tweets About The Sickest Feeling In His Entire Life…
Samsung suffered a new kind of endorsement failure when its spokesman for the Galaxy Note phablet line tweeted out his frustration after the device deleted all his content and rebooted.
This is NBA player LeBron James, a celebrity spokesperson for Samsung who has been featured in a variety of Galaxy device ads
Recently, James had a mini-meltdown on Twitter when his Samsung phone deleted all of his data
Miami Heat's James, who must carry around the Samsung-branded Galaxy smartphone as a part of an endorsement deal, was quick to share his frustration with the device in a tweet to his 12 million followers.
mashable.comConsidering the company is paying James a hefty sum to endorse and promote the brand, this probably didn't sit too well with the Samsung crew. So the tweet has since been deleted, but not before it was already seen by thousands.
LeBron James is one of Samsung's most recognizable spokesmen, having starred in several commercials for the Apple competitor. So it doesn't take a genius to see why it would be awkward for LeBron to vent on Twitter about his phone. Samsung makes up a considerable portion of LeBron's $42 million endorsement profile, after all.
thepostgame.comA source close to the matter said Samsung worked with LeBron to fully restore his device. Fortunately for him, his information was backed up.
"We are following the situation," the Samsung rep said. "We have a team looking into it. There should be more information soon."
thepostgame.comWhile, James issue may have been solved, we quite like this response by @JenSized to James' initial tweet
"That sound you just heard was everyone at Samsung facepalming simultaneously"
