The Nexus 5 was actually available for 'pre-registration' with WIND Mobile for a bit before it was taken down. Along with the sign-up page, WIND Mobile revealed the full spec list which matches up nicely with what we've seen earlier.

Nexus 5 Makes Brief Appearance On Google Play For $349

The Nexus 5 is the worst kept surprise in the tech industry. We’ve seen extensive images of the upcoming Google flagship, it’s been caught on video and now it appears that we have a price for it: $349.

engadget.com

That price is for the entry level (16GB) model, according to Google Play. In what is surely a glitch we can see the device clearly listed in the store, but clicking on the phone doesn’t bring us an enlarged image or more details.

That wasn’t the case earlier, since Android Police was able to get a larger shot of the device — which it seems was live on the site temporarily — and here it is. Android fans will notice a lot of new icons, and in particular a new design for the Gmail icon.

Upcoming Nexus 5 prototype shown from all angles

The device is missing the "Nexus" branding on its backside, suggesting that this is some early prototype hardware, and the software that's loaded onto the phone looks to be an early build of KitKat (it's even referred to as "KeyLimePie" in the About phone screen).

phonedog.com

The phone in the video lines up with the hardware that we've seen in previous Nexus 5 leaks, including its large camera housing with a flash below it as well as a microUSB port on the rounded bottom. Moving to the front of the device, we can see a camera in the upper-left corner and a circular earpiece right next to it.

thenextweb.com

The right side of the Nexus 5 features a power/lock button and SIM card slot, while the left side is home to a volume rocker. A quick peek in the phone's Settings app shows that it's got 16GB of built-in storage.

The Nexus 5 will be based on LG G2. Here's a look at it

The LG G2 is the first smartphone handset to come without side buttons, with a control pad on the back of the handset.

The concept of putting buttons on the back came from research which revealed that the larger smartphones became, the harder it was for users to access side keys, LG said.

Nexus 5 vs iPhone 5C: How do they compare?

The upcoming smartphone is also expected to run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie with cheaper price tag compared to other flagship handsets. Is iPhone 5c going to catch up with Nexus 5?

ibtimes.com

Both the Nexus 5 and the iPhone 5C are speculated to carry forward the signature design aesthetic of their manufacturers. While the Nexus 5 is supposedly a larger version of the Nexus 4, the iPhone 5C is said to look just like the iPhone 5 - with curvier edges.

knowyourmobile.in

Android is reportedly giving the Nexus 5 a 5-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Apple is likely to maintain the iPhone 5C's resolution at 1136 x 640 pixels and its pixel density of 326ppi.

ibtimes.com

Rumour has it that the iPhone 5C will be powered by Apple's dual-core A6 processor and a tri-core GPU, along with a 1 GB RAM.

knowyourmobile.in

In brief...

Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, LG Optimus G2 and Sony Xperia Z are also not going to compete with the low price range offered by Nexus devices. Google will surely make their handsets inexpensive yet powerful.
