Breast cancer affects over

women worldwide each year and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women, following lung cancer.

Nearly 45% of these women live in

developing

countries.

In Malaysia, 64% of the new female breast cancer cases reported in 2003 were women

aged 40 to 60 years old.

Among Malaysian women, Chinese women have the highest incidence rate (59.7 per 100,000), followed by Indian women (55.8 per 100,000) and Malay women (33.9 per 100,000)

Early detection and timely medical attention can save lives. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, nearly

40% of new breast cancer cases are diagnosed at advanced stages.

Let's work together to raise awareness and improve early detection.
