Andrea "LA" Thoma Gustin, who married The Flash star Grant Gustin last year, has shared some new photos of the couple's Kadazan wedding ceremony in Sabah

Thoma, who is half-Kadazan on her mother's side, posted photos and a video of the ceremony on Instagram to mark her 31st birthday.

"As I enter another lap around the sun, I can’t help but reminisce on all the amazing life changes that have happened over the last couple years. I am so honored to share an incredible experience Grant and I had in our marriage journey," her caption read.

"We were able to honor my Kadazan tribal ancestors through a traditional wedding ceremony called Miohon Pinisi. It was such a gift to be able to celebrate and connect to my mother's cultural heritage that welcomed Grant with open arms," she wrote.

The couple were joined by Thoma's parents, siblings, and extended family in Sabah during the ceremony, which was held in her mother's hometown of Penampang in December 2017

Thoma also shared a five-minute video chronicling the entire ceremony on IGTV, which you can watch here:

—As I enter another lap around the sun, I can’t help but reminisce on all the amazing life changes that have happened over the last couple years. I am so honored to share an incredible experience Grant and I had in our marriage journey. We were able to honor my Kadazan tribal ancestors through a traditional wedding ceremony called Miohon Pinisi. It was such a gift to be able to celebrate and connect to my mothers cultural heritage that welcomed Grant with open arms. We recognize how lucky we are to be part of this ancestral line, and it is so important to us to keep these traditions as part of our life and to continue to pass it down to future generations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ —Thank you to my Nenek (grandma) and Datuk (grandpa, may he Rest In Peace) for always opening their home to anyone and everyone who has ever needed a roof over their head. Thank you to the Majalap’s and crew for always knowing how to throw a good party and working tirelessly to make this ceremony happen. Thank you to the Bobohizan (shaman) and crew who performed this beautiful ceremony.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And finally thank you to my husband, who stepped wayyy out of his comfort zone, into a new country and my small army of a family, and opened his heart to becoming part of our tribe. Sharing that experience with you was a priceless gift I will forever be thankful for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @the_kvar @bryankoujustudio
