This Real Life Dancing Groot Toy Is All You Need
"WE ARE GROOT"
If you've watched Guardians of the Galaxy, you would have noticed Groot junior dancing at the end of the movie
He is so cute that Patrick Delehanty, a GOTG fan, made a real life version of the dancing Groot!
While at least one official baby dancing Groot is in the works thanks to Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys, the release date isn’t until March of next year. I don’t want to live that long without baby Groot in my life, and neither does YouTuber Patrick Delahanty, so he took it upon himself to make his own dancing sentient tree creature.
nerdist.comPatrick Delahanty has created a dancing Baby Groot, complete with a YouTube video of Groot dancing to The Jackson 5′s “I Want You Back” — just as it was at the end of “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
mtv.comWe’ve already seen fan-made Etsy figurines and even fanart of an imaginary Groot toy, with the only “real” examples being a bobblehead and a Hot Toys collectible that comes as part of a set costing $359.99. And neither of those can dance to the Jackson 5. So with desperation setting in, GotG fan Patrick Delahanty built his own dancing Groot.
dailydot.comPatrick bought a "Movin' and Groovin'" flower on eBay and modified it with some felt. He even sculpted the head from compound clay.
I made this using a “Movin’ & Groovin’” flower I got from eBay, cut off the dumb daisy, covered the stem on felt and twine, sculpted the head from Model Magic, and painted everything with brown and tan paint. He can now dance to Peter Quill’s ‘Awesome Mix’ or my own.
screencrush.comConsidering Marvel is owned by Disney, expect to see an official version of the toy soon
Considering Disney loves money and loves to make money off of merchandising, we can’t believe that there are no plans to make this product. Name your price, Disney! Just shut up and take my money!
screencrush.comMarvel haven’t confirmed that they’re going to make a similar toy, although their @AgentM did mention on Twitter that they have been discussing it.
