Everyone's favourite sponge is making its way back to the big screen after 10 long years
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! But in his new movie, SpongeBob comes out of the water for a whole new wild and crazy adventure!

There’s a new SpongeBob SquarePants movie coming and it looks as though the lovable sponge and his friends have been given a drastic makeover.
Premiering in 1999, the television series’ massive success led to a movie in 2004, aptly named The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie. The film was well-received by fans and critics, performed better than expected at the box office, and only further cemented SpongeBob’s claim as Nickelodeon’s reigning ‘toon.
The movie, titled "SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of The Water" will be both in 2D and 3D
SpongeBob SquarePants comes to the 3D surface for the first time ever in the trailer for Paramount Animation's “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.”
Although the trailer begins with SpongeBob, Patrick et al in their traditional 2D animated form, the gang must venture onto dry land “to save their world”, when it comes under attack from Antonio Banderas’ evil pirate antagonist.
In this movie, SpongeBob and his friends is forced to come into the real world where they have to face an evil pirate, played by Antonia Banderas
Antonio Banderas plays the pesky pirate who found the book and destroyed SpongeBob's pineapple under the sea to steal a missing magical page.
The SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out Of Water trailer reveals there is an evil pirate, portrayed by Antonio Banderas. He and his band of pirates need the last page of a book that makes every evil plan they write down come true, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Fans will also see SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs and Plankton become superheroes thanks to a magical book that makes stories come true. Not only do their newly acquired powers help them do battle against the villainous Burger-Beard the Pirate (a ginger Antonio Banderas), but it makes them larger than life and perfectly tailored for capitalizing on our ever-growing obsession with superheroes.
All of the original voice actors of the series will be reprising their roles in this movie
Sponge Out of Water is a co-production between Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation, and it’s directed by Paul Tibbett and written by Stephen Hillenburg. All of the original voice actors from the SpongeBob Squarepants series are reprising their roles – Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.
Variety reveals that SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out Of Water is “directed by “SpongeBob” series writer and executive Paul Tibbitt, the film is written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The show’s original voice cast — Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence will reprise their roles.”
