You Could Be Playing The Role Of Lee Chong Wei In This Upcoming Local Movie
The audition process will begin soon!
A movie based on Lee Chong Wei is currently in the making and YOU could be playing the national badminton hero on the silver screen!
Titled 'Rise Of The Legend', the film will chronicle the life story of the badminton legend and his successful journey into becoming a champion and a global sports icon.
The movie will be helmed by 'Kepong Gangster' director, Teng Bee.
Producers of the film are currently seeking candidates to play Lee Chong Wei and other roles, according to a casting call out posted on the movie's Facebook page
The production house has stated that they are on the look out for potential candidates to play the role of a young Lee Chong Wei and other roles that were influential in the life of the badminton ace.
There are different requirements for each role. Aside from age and gender, expertise in badminton and articulate in speech are applicable for certain roles.
The casting call is open to Malaysians of all races.
The audition process will take place on 5 March in Penang, 11 March in Johor Bahru, before making the last stop on 18 March in Kota Damansara
Candidates are required to bring their IC to the auditions. Those below 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
'Rise Of The Legend' will commence filming in the middle of the year. It is slated for a 2018 release.
