Trump paid a visit to Saudi Arabia over the weekend, the first stop on his first foreign trip as president. There, he gave a speech about Islam and attended the opening ceremony of the Global Centre for Combating Extremist Ideology.

During the ceremony, Trump placed his hands on a glowing orb alongside Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
According to [Mashable](http://mashable.com/2017/05/21/trump-glowing-orb-twitter-meme/#v4K_KXeahOq5), the simultaneous touching of the globe appears to be a gesture of solidarity around peace for the newly opened facility.
While the whole summit was about nations uniting in a bid to put an end to terrorism, that's not the takeaway message many Twitter users got from photos of the event.
