You know those things that make you say, "That's so Malaysian lah"?

When you're overseas and you hear someone use the words "*gostan*", "*abuden*", and "*cincai*", you can be sure that they're Malaysian. It's one of those little things that make us Malaysian.

Axiata and Celcom's Merdeka ad this year celebrates these little things that make Malaysia unique

Inspired by true events, it tells the story of Emma, a British teacher who came to Malaysia for a short-term teaching job. During her time here, she learned about the local culture through her students, and even got to try some local delicacies!

To be able to coexist harmoniously despite our differences in culture and religion is what makes us a beautiful and special nation

Axiata and Celcom want to remind us that love and unity transcends all boundaries. Like what Emma said, the harmony that we enjoy in Malaysia comes from our diverse backgrounds which Malaysians have learned to embrace and appreciate.
