A Goat In Johor Gave Birth To A Human-Faced Kid?
However, a case like this is not unheard of in recent times.
Apparently, a goat in a farm in Felda Sungai Mas, Johor, belonging to oil palm settler Ibrahim Basir reportedly gave birth to a baby goat with a human-like face. However, it could not survive the birth.
According to The Star, its carcass, for which Ibrahim Basir received lucrative offers from people interested in buying it, was handed to the Veterinary Services Department to carry out investigation
The 63-year-old, while speaking to The Star, said...
...he was shocked to discover that one of his goats had given birth to a kid whose face resembled a newborn human baby, adding that despite the features, the kid did not have any umbilical cord.
"This is what sets the baby goats apart as usually they would be born with the umbilical cord attached," Harian Metro quoted him as saying.
"When I went to check, I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body seemed like a human baby, but the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat," he was quoted as saying by The Star on Monday.
The baby goat was said to have been trampled by its mother
When Ibrahim Basir found it, he kept the kid's carcass in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes, he told the national English daily.
What's interesting is that shocked by the photos of the human-faced goat gone viral on social media, many Malaysians have commented saying that such a deformity was caused by the act of bestiality
"Some human have rape (sic) the goat and impregnated it," commented one user, while another said, "We have goat shaggers in Malaysia? Seriously?"
However, several of the commentators have chided such comments saying such a thing is not possible as human DNA is not compatible with that of animals.
On the other hand, this isn't the first case of its kind
In 2014, one of a farming family's goats in Argentina had given birth to a baby with human-faced featured. The family was accused of bestiality, an allegation the family has refuted.
The photos of the baby were posted by a friend to highlight the devastating impact of excessive pesticide use in the region, but instead, they were bombarded with abuse and accusations of sodomy, UK's Mirror had reported.
Back in 2009, a goat owned by a farmer in Kenya gave birth to a kid with a human face.
In 2015, in the village of Chirka, close to the Russian republic of Dagestan, a sheep owned by farmer Blasius Lavrentiev gave birth to a human-like "creature" with its head having the eyes, nose and mouth of a human and only the ears were those of a sheep.
