Video Shows Security Guard Knocking Out An OKU With A Punch And Stomping On Him

The incident happened outside a supermarket in Tumpat, Kelantan.

A security guard was caught on video knocking out a man with disabilities (OKU) in front of a supermarket in Tumpat, Kelantan on Monday, 19 March

As reported by Sinar Harian, the pair, who are co-workers, got into an argument before the man with disabilities was knocked out by the security guard.

The 72-second long CCTV footage was uploaded on several Facebook pages since Tuesday, 20 March.

At the time of writing, the video has been viewed more than 580,000 times and shared by over 8,300 people.

The shocking video sparked outrage and anger from netizens as the man in uniform caught the victim off guard when he punched the man with disabilities from the back

After he floored the victim, the security guard stared at the man before he stomped his right foot on the OKU man's chest.

However, after the victim lay motionless on the ground, the guard got worried.

The attacker could be seen placing his hand on the man's chest to check for heartbeat before he grabbed the OKU man's cloth and put him in a sitting position.

The 26-year old suspect was arrested over the assault and has since been remanded for four days to facilitate investigations

Tumpat police chief, Superintendent Ab. Rashid Mat Daud said that the police have taken action and is conducting a further investigation regarding the incident, Sinar Harian reported.

"The victim is currently being treated at Tumpat Hospital after suffering injuries to his face and the back of his head was swollen due to the impact when he hit the ground.

"The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing injury," Rashid was quoted as saying by the Malay daily
