That Video Of "Indian Ocean" Waves Was Taken Last Year In The Atlantic

A video footage claimed to be from the SAR Operations for missing MH370 went viral this week. Here's the truth behind that viral video.

Here's a ship in a heavy storm as seen from the deck, going through giant waves. As seen from this screenshot, it claimed to be a footage of THE 'Indian Ocean'.

The video first appeared on a Facebook Page named 'Salha Zain'. Very rapidly, the video was reshared across the Internet.

A YouTube channel called 'GossipCouch' also picked up the video and posted it on their channel. As of 29 March, it has over 119,000 views.

As with Facebook, the video was and still is making waves on Youtube

There are several users commenting and sharing the video from 'GossipCouch' channel, believing that it's actually a footage from the SAR Operations for MH370 in Indian Ocean

Truth is, the video was taken by Ivan Zakryzhevskiy on 19 January 2013 in an operation during a hurricane
