  • MOEP, an event and haute couture stylist based in KL, recently had their soft launch in Mandarin Oriental

    • For their soft launch, the full-service event planning boutique hosted a fashion show named 'Haute Couture Reimagined' in the beautifully decorated Grand Ballroom of one of KL's top hotels.

This was a designer wedding gown showcase, hosted by renowned celebrities from Hong Kong - TVB actor Bob Lum and actress-model Sarika Choy.

  • The fashion show featured wedding dresses by world famous designers, Pnina Tornai and Rita Vinieris

    • Models graced the runway in dazzling white gowns from the collections of two famous designers:

      • Pnina Tornai, who is one of the most requested designers in reality series 'Say Yes To the Dress'
      • Rita Vinieris, who designed Hollywood celebrity Kelly Osbourne's dress
Also featured is MOEP's own in-house haute couture collection.

  • But none of the dresses looked as amazing as the signature piece

    • This was probably the most unforgettable dress that was showcased that night.

This dress was designed by the Founder of MOEP, Kiki Law, and was handmade with more than 3,000 metallic pearls. According to the organisers, the dress cost about RM30,000 to make.

The dress was later modelled by host Sarika herself:

  • The dress was later auctioned off that night for RM68,888, the profits of which was donated to a charity organisation

    • MOEP's soft launch was also organised with the intention to give back to society. As such, they put their signature dress up for auction after the fashion show.

The auction closed after half an hour with the highest bid being RM68,888 by Madam Thean Siew Ling. The money was then donated to the Dignity For Children Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to provide quality education to underprivileged children. MOEP also sponsored RM30,000 as part of the donation to ensure the Foundation received all the proceeds from the sale of the dress.
