JPJ Is Offering 70% Discount For Summonses And Compounds Until 2 May 2018
The major price slash has been offered in conjunction with JPJ's 72nd anniversary celebration.
Got any outstanding JPJ-issued summonses that you've been putting off for a loooooong time?
Well, good news! The Road Transport Department (JPJ) announced yesterday that it is currently offering a massive 70% on summonses and compounds issued by them until 2 May 2018
The discount is being offered in conjunction with the department's 72nd anniversary, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi said yesterday, 2 April 2018, as reported by the New Straits Times.
Ab Aziz also revealed that the discount is historic, as the department has never offered such a substantial discount in its years of governance
"The public should grab this opportunity to pay the various summonses and compounds issued by the department (before) the offer ends on 2 May 2018. Payment can be made at all RTD offices nationwide," Ab Aziz said when contacted by the English daily.
However, the discount is not valid for selected traffic offences
"The discount is not applicable for five offences – (those committed) under the Automated Awareness Safety System (AwAS); offences under the Automatic Enforcement System (AES); overloading of vehicles of over five tonnes; court summonses; and summonses and compounds involving foreigners," he added.
