The Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur today decided that a former model accused of a charge of public indecency is fit to stand trial.

Magistrate Nur’Aminahtul Mardiah Md Nor based her decision on the report issued by Hospital Tanjung Rambutan, where Persana Avril Sollunda, 33, had been referred to for mental observation.

According to the hospital's psychiatric evaluation, which was read out in court, Persana Avril Sollunda, 33, was of "unsound mind" at the time of the April 23 incident during which she allegedly removed her bra and top after failing to pay an RM18 bill at a chicken rice shop.

However, she has been deemed stable and fit to stand trial at this juncture. The trial is slated to take place from Jan 11-13.

Persana appeared calm in court and sported a black leather jacket over a brown-orange top with black jeans and high-heeled boots.

She was accompanied by her brother, Peter Alvin.

After leaving the courtroom, Persana was heard telling her lawyer Kevin Tan "I want to call my mother".

She had no further comment and referred further questions to Tan, who said they will just proceed with the trial without any applications.

However, she later said "I'm okay... By the way, I'm also a fan of Prince Harry."

24 April: An argument between an unidentified woman with a stall owner at Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur ended up with the woman stripping off her clothes in full view of the crowd of onlookers

The video of the incident, which is currently making its rounds on social media, began with the woman struggling to escape from another woman - believed to be the stall owner - while screaming, "Don't do this to me!" and "What's your problem, I pay everything!"

It was alleged that the woman had lunch at a restaurant in Petaling Street around 3.00pm on Thursday (23 April) and tried to leave without paying. When she was accosted by the stall owner, she denied it, saying that she'd already put the money on the table.

The woman stripped off her clothes to avoid paying for a meal worth around RM18.

The restaurant owner’s daughter, who only wanted to be identified as Lee, the topless woman had earlier ordered two bottles of beer but had not paid in full. They then confronted the topless woman, asking her to pay her bill in full.

They had also produced a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera recording which showed that the topless woman had not paid for her second beer bottle in full. This then led to the topless woman getting angry and insisting that she had already paid for both bottles of beer in full.

The real action started when she managed to free her hands from the stall owner. Having taken off her white jacket and flinging it to the side, the woman proceeded to take off her black top and bra to prove her innocence.

Now topless, the woman went on to provoke the stall owner while yelling, "Shame on you!" On the sidelines, a few people were seen to be presumably calling the authorities while some filmed the incident on their phones.

When the stall owner did not respond to her taunts, the woman appeared to have chalked it up as a victory. The video ended with her picking up her jacket and preparing to leave the scene.

Witnesses said the woman's companion, described as a Caucasian, got into a scuffle off camera with the restaurant operator when the woman was not allowed to leave.

The duo reportedly fled when policemen arrived at the scene.
