If you're planning to balik kampung this Hari Raya season, be sure to top up your Touch 'n Go card beforehand as all reload booths at PLUS toll plazas will be closed during the holidays

A PLUS spokesperson told The Sun that all 134 reload booths at PLUS toll plazas will be closed during the upcoming Hari Raya holidays to allow for smooth traffic flow.

The reload booths will cease operations from 22 June until 2 July 2017

The spokesperson told the daily that the measure was made with the intention to ease congestion at reload lanes caused by motorists queuing up at the reload lanes, which would inconvenience other motorists who are not topping up.

He also added that motorists are advised to reload their Touch 'n Go or PLUSMiles card to ensure a smooth and fuss-free journey.

However, motorists can still reload their cards at customer service centres at selected toll plazas

These centres will be open as usual from 7am to 10pm, including weekends and public holidays.

"Additionally, the public can opt to top up their cards at 9,200 other locations nationwide, including automated teller machines (ATM), 24-hour convenience stores and petrol stations, including those operating at rest and service (R&R) areas along the highway,” the spokesperson said.
