Uber Is Finally Coming To Kota Kinabalu!
The ride-sharing service makes its way to East Malaysia.

After launching in Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh and Johor Bahru, popular ride-sharing service Uber is making its way to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah!
In celebration of the move, Uber is doubling the value of referral codes from RM10 to RM20 for the next two weeks
Refer a friend with your unique referral code and you’ll BOTH get a ride worth RM20 each. If you have an Uber account, you'll be able to get your unique referral code as soon as you open up the app.
Aside from that, Uber is also running a sweepstakes that gives riders a chance to win a two-day one night stay at the Le Meridian
To win the sweepstakes, riders would have to refer the referral code to friends and family. Each use of the code would be counted as one entry, with no limit to the number of entries. The sweepstakes will run from 10 to 19 May. Winners will be notified on via email on 25 May.
Do note that Uber Kota Kinabalu has not gone live yet, it is expected to launch end of this month. The ride-sharing company is currently looking for drivers.
According to The Borneo Blog, Uber has confirmed that it will be launching in Kota Kinabalu by end of this month. The exact date has not been set yet.
