Using the latest Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Aries Infinity has made Malaysia amongst the few countries in the world and the first in ASEAN to be equipped with technology

IPv6 is the Internet's next-generation protocol. Compared to the current IPv4, it is much better than IPv4 at making sure Internet traffic gets to the correct destination without being intercepted. To sum it all up, it's very much faster and more stable.

Made possible by the widest coverage of fibre optic infrastructure that has been laid by Setia Haruman Technology Sdn Bhd, the country is now amongst the few in the world and the first in ASEAN to be wired with such technology.

For now, the service will only be offered to business owners residing in Cyberjaya as mentioned by Datuk Zuraidi Rahim, the chairman of Aries Telecom, at the launch of the service on 7 April

“The fibre optics covers all buildings in Cyberjaya, thus making the 1Gpbs Infinity Broadband readily available for business users that runs on the IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6),” said Rahim.

Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Salleh Said Keruak, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia who officiated the launch, hopes that the company would expand its reach to home users and other parts of the country

“Yes, the product might be designed for the business community, I believe this could be further extended to cover other segments of the market such as the education community,” he said.

So, how much does the plan cost? Due to its demanding nature, the Aries Infinity will come with a whopping price tag of RM5,000 per month.
