OMG, Is Motorola Bringing Back The RAZR Flip Phone?!

Well, be prepared to relive the good ol' days because Motorola just teased that they might be bringing the RAZR flip phone back!

The phone proved to very popular but its days were numbered as smart phones began to dominate the market in the wake of the first Apple iPhone

The RAZR became the world’s bestselling flip phone despite being woefully underpowered compared to today’s mobiles, with a 2.2-inch screen and a 0.3-megapixel camera

Motorola's highest entry in the top 20 was for the RAZR V3, which after selling more than 130 million handsets, is also the world's best-selling clamshell phone. It went on sale in 2004.

Motorola, which is currently owned by Lenovo, uploaded a video of the phone in action on YouTube over the weekend

The video has gotten over 1 million views at the time of writing!

The 45-second video features some teeny boppers in a high school calling and texting with a RAZR flip phone

The description of the video says, 'Flip back to the Razr days of yesteryear and get ready for the future.'

The video, titled “06.09.16”, highlights an event Motorola is due to hold on 9 June. Will the new phone bring back the RAZR brand for a second time? All will be revealed that day.

Lenovo Tech World conference will be held on 9 June at The Iconic Masonic in San Francisco, USA. Lenovo is set to unveil a set of new Motorola phone models. In all likelihood, the phone will be upgraded to today's standards of design while keeping the aesthetic of a flip phone.

After all, flip phones are making somewhat of a comeback recently with Adele famously using one in her music video for the song 'Hello'
