Malaysian Singer Ecstatic To Be Part Of Grammy-Nominated Contemporary Blues Album
The singer expressed her excitement about attending the Grammy Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles in February 2025.
A Malaysian singer is ecstatic to be part of a Grammy-nominated blues album, The Fury, where she collaborated with Latin-American musician Antonio Vergara
According to FMT, Lyia Meta, featured in the album that received a nomination in the 'Best Contemporary Blues Album' category for the 2025 Grammy Awards, announced last Friday, 8 November.
Meta contributed her vocals in Delta Shine, which was recorded at Big A Productions, a studio in Petaling Jaya, and showcased her powerful voice in the song, which she said is a "celebration of the roots of blues under the Mississippi moonlight".
According to Lit Music Awards, Meta is a full-time performer, producer, songwriter, and visual artist, who draws inspiration from rock and blues.

Despite being an independent artiste without major label backing, Meta viewed this nomination as a significant validation of her dedication to creating meaningful music
In an Instagram post celebrating the nomination, Meta said it was an honour to be part of such a remarkable album.
"This project brought together a lineup of amazing artists, each adding their own unique touch to create something truly powerful. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to THE FURY!!!" she wrote.
Meta told FMT that Vergara, known for his evocative music, invited her to collaborate on the album as he was captivated by her unique vocal style and versatility, believing it would add a new dimension to his album.
"A Grammy nomination for Antonio's album, which he generously called 'our album', is proof that every late night, every ounce of self-belief, and every moment dedicated to crafting authentic music truly mattered," she said.

Speaking to SAYS, Meta shared that she is currently working on new music, collaborating with more songwriters, producers, and artistes
Meta said she is continuing to push her artistic boundaries alongside her American collaborator and confidant, Denise Dimin.
"It looks like my collaborator, Los Angeles songwriter, Denise Dimin, and I may be starting another project soon — it's all in the cards!" she told SAYS.
