Malaysians Share Funny Responses To National Service That Now Includes Up To 35-Year-Olds
The only way Malaysians know how to cope with pain is through humour.
Malaysians have been vocal about their concerns following the government's recent decision to reinstate the National Service Training Programme (PLKN)
Scrapped in 2018, the PLKN programme is set to make a return, and will now resemble a "summer camp," according to Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
Phase 1 will be conducted at the school level, while Phase 2 will involve 45 days of training for those who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations.
The ministry said according to National Service Training Act (NSA) 2003, eligible trainees will be those aged 16 to 35. However, the programme will not affect those sitting for their SPM examinations.
