9 Cleansing Oils, Balms & Liquids To Get In Malaysia That Actually Work
Because removing makeup shouldn't take you a gazillion hours.
1. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
A personal favourite, DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil is great at thoroughly removing a full face of makeup in a matter of seconds. It melts onto the skin instantaneously, removing even the toughest of waterproof mascaras and doesn't leave the skin clogged, in my opinion. Plus, only one pump is needed!
However, some say that if you have acne-prone skin, it's best to avoid this as its main ingredient is olive oil, which is known to be mildly comedogenic (pore-clogging).

2. Banila CO Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm
If you wear makeup often, Banila CO's range has great reviews saying that they provide a thorough deep clean without drying out the skin. The alcohol-free texture is sherbet-like but turns to oil on the skin and helps to remove the most stubborn waterproof makeup.
There are four types in the range, depending on what your skin needs. Each tub comes with its own spatula.

3. Bioré Make Up Remover
Differing slightly in their ingredients, Bioré has two types of makeup removers: Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Liquid. If you're looking for something that isn't too pricey but still gets the job done, you can consider these.
The Cleansing Oil does its job to remove my waterproof makeup but it takes a few more seconds to melt it away compared to the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. For the price, it's still pretty decent.
My colleague reviewed that the Cleansing Liquid works better for her at not clogging her pores or causing breakouts. But take note that both products contain some fragrance, which can sting the eye area slightly.

4. Heimish All Clean Balm
There are many positive reviews on Korea's Heimish All Clean Balm. Its main ingredients are shea butter, tea tree oil, coconut extract, as well as some essential oils.
The texture is said to be sorbet-like, lightweight, and is effective to cleanse a full face of makeup without leaving any greasiness or residue.
However, if you have acne-prone or sensitive skin, it's recommended to take note of the essential oils that may aggravate the skin. Each tub comes with its own spatula.

5. Kose Cosmeport SoftyMo Speedy Cleansing Oil & Deep Cleansing Oil
Kose Cosmeport has two types of cleansing oils made with slightly different ingredients: SoftMo Speedy and Deep Cleansing Oil.
One review mentioned that if you tend to wear heavier makeup or a thick base of sunscreen, then you might prefer the Deep Cleansing Oil over the Speedy Oil, as the latter might require a few more pumps to get rid of any sunscreen residue.
Another review told SAYS that the Speedy Cleansing Oil is pretty good and quick to remove waterproof makeup, but left her eyes slightly dry. Overall, they're still good options if you're looking for something more affordable.

7. Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm
Albeit on the pricier side, Farmacy's cleansing balm has rave reviews for removing waterproof makeup without tugging at the skin. It's free of synthetic fragrances and the texture is more waxy at first, but it does instantly melt into a thick oil upon skin contact.
If you're someone who travels a lot and doesn't want to deal with a leaky bottle pump, this balm could be a good alternative. Each tub comes with a small spatula.

8. Beauty Of Joseon Cleansing Balm
Made of a waxy, sherbet-like texture, the Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm efficiently removes makeup. But one reviewer mentioned to SAYS that it takes a bit more time to melt into the skin to remove waterproof bases, and might require a bit of scrubbing.
So if you don't mind taking the time to cleanse your face or don't usually wear waterproof makeup, this could be a good option.
