Putrajaya Hosts Year-End Countdown With Colourful Projections & More For RM5 Per Person

To ring in the New Year, Putrajaya will light up the night sky with LAMPU 2024, a vibrant light and motion festival

Taking place from 27 to 31 December at Dataran Putrajaya, Precinct 3, this annual event will add sparkle to the year-end with a stunning display of lights, colours, and innovative technology.

With a "futuristic" theme and concept, the highlight of the festival will be the Mega Light Mapping show. Using cutting-edge projection technology, the Palace of Justice building will be transformed into a canvas, showcasing stunning 3D animations, videos, and images.

Beyond the light mapping show, the festival offers a diverse range of attractions and activities. You can stroll through the "Futuristic Garden", a dazzling landscape with illuminated flora and fauna, and explore vibrant graffiti art brought to life by UV spray paint that glows in the dark.

With over 20 food trucks and vendors to keep your hunger at bay, don't miss the captivating performances by talented buskers, dancers, and cultural troupes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Gaming enthusiasts can also unleash their competitive spirit at the Gaming Festival, featuring a variety of exciting games and challenges, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, Fruit Ninja, Foosball, Foot Soccer, and more.

Here are the full details for LAMPU 2024:

Date: 27 to 31 December (Friday to Tuesday)
Time: 7pm to 12am
Venue: Putrajaya Square, Precinct 3
Admission fee:
- Adults & senior citizens: RM5
- Children (7 to 12 years old): RM2
Free entry for children below 7 years old and OKU.

There is a separate ticket price for the Gaming Fest:
- Adults & senior citizens: RM5
- Children (12 years old and below): Free

However, if you wish to explore both the festival and the Gaming Fest, you can buy a combo ticket for RM8 per adult.

In conjunction with the festival, Perbadanan Putrajaya has arranged a free shuttle bus service, with buses operating every 30 minutes

Operating hours:
- 27 to 30 December: 5.30pm to 12.30am
- 31 December: 5.30pm to 1am

The shuttle bus will operate on three routes:
- Zone A: Anjung Floria, Precinct 4 to Persiaran Perdana (Wisma Tani) Ticket Counter, Menara Prisma
- Zone B: Suasana PJH, Precinct 2 to Jalan Tun Abdul Razak (Kiblat Walk) Ticket Counter, Kiblat Walk
- Zone C: Putrajaya Sentral Terminal/Putrajaya MRT Station, Precinct 7 to Persiaran Perdana (JPN) Ticket Counter, Menara Tulus

The last MRT train from Putrajaya Sentral departs at 11.30pm, so be sure to plan your journey accordingly if you're relying on the MRT.

For those driving, there will be ample public parking spaces located around the venue. However, several roads leading to the venue, such as Persiaran Perdana Precinct 2, 3, and 4, will be closed from 6pm to 12am.
