Thailand experienced a significant surge in tourism in 2023, with 28 million visitors from around the world.
Malaysians were the most frequent travellers, with 4.56 million visits, followed by the Chinese (3.51 million), South Koreans (1.65 million), Indians (1.62 million), and Russians (1.48 million).

Thailand's Tourism and Sports Minister, Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol said 'The Land of Smiles' is now aiming for 35 million tourist arrivals in 2024, hoping to match the 2019 record of 39.8 million.
