[UPDATE] 17 September Got Holiday Or Not — Ask Your HR. Yes, You Can Do That

The Ministry of Human Resources just clarified the details.

Malaysia Day and the Prophet Muhammad's birthday both fall on Monday, 16 September, but that does not mean the following day, Tuesday, 17 September, is also automatically a holiday

According to a post by Ministry of Human Resources published yesterday, 8 August, even though 17 September is not a public holiday, private companies can choose to declare it or any other day as a replacement off day.

So, if you want to know whether 17 September will be an extra holiday for you, it's best to check with your company's HR
