Putrajaya Is Offering Free Automatic Rapid Transit (ART) Rides Until The End Of July

Want to explore Putrajaya without the hassle of driving? You can ride the Automated Rapid Transit (ART) trackless tram for free until 31 July.
This free tram ride is a pilot project between Putrajaya Corporation (PPJ) and the Transport Ministry (MOT).
The electrically powered trackless tram accommodates up to 307 passengers at a time.
If all goes well, the ART tram service will officially begin operations by this end of this year.

During this trial period, the tram operates on two different routes during weekdays and weekends

According to the Ministry of Transport, Route 1A operates from Mondays to Fridays and takes passengers from MRT Putrajaya Sentral towards Lebuh Wawasan, Persiaran Perdana, and Lingkaran Gemilang, then circles back to MRT Putrajaya Sentral.
Meanwhile, Route 2B will also start from MRT Putrajaya Sentral to Persiaran Perdana, passing through Lebuh Bestari, Persiaran Timur, and IOI Putrajaya before returning to MRT Putrajaya Sentral. This route is only available during weekends.
A total of three trips are provided each day between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
There is no sign-up requirement to take a ride on the electric tram. All you need to do is scan a QR code which will be provided at the passenger pick-up station.
