The Muslim-friendly restaurant only opened just a few months ago, but it has begun catching the attention of many families and couples looking to elevate their nights out.
Perched on the 58th floor* of the Ascott Star KLCC, Alva KL offers an unparalleled dining experience in altitude and culinary offerings.

Whether you choose to dine indoors or at the intimate outdoor bar, you'll be treated to stunning city views either way, thanks to the restaurant's interior, which boasts cosy accents and marble tops that accentuate the cityscape backdrop.
Personally, we would recommend the outdoor bar for the best view of the KLCC Twin Towers.
The outdoor area is also where you'll get to marvel at the stone-age-inspired bar, elegantly etched with the restaurant's name and adorned with spirit and wine bottles

Begin your evening by ordering one of the bar's handcrafted cocktails and mocktails. If you're not sure where to start, we highly recommend the unconventional Far East Journey cocktail, which offers a refreshing blend of Irish whisky, chrysanthemum tea, asam boi, and port wine. Thanks to the asam boi, the whisky taste isn't overpowering, perfect for those who prefer lighter-tasting cocktails.

If you're on the search for something more tropical and fruity with a twist, the Stardust Sip cocktail should do just the trick. It's a fusion concoction of white wine-infused chamomile tea, Cuban rum, vibrant yuzu, and a medley of tropical diced fruits.

Now, on to the menu. From succulent grilled seafood and meats to delectable pasta creations, Alva KL's menu is thoughtfully curated to cater to every palate.
If you're not sure what dish to try, go with the restaurant's signatures, which are the Seared U.S. Scallops, Australian Lamb Short Ribs, Atlantic Cod with Fragrant Lotus Leaf, Spinach Risotto with Thai Grilled Cuttlefish, and Garlic Prawn Pasta.
We had the opportunity to try them, and our absolute favourites were the cod and pasta.

The cod's portion is just enough to keep you wanting more, and the taste is sure to leave you impressed. The fish meat was firm with a buttery texture, and the pairing of the lotus leaf added layers of flavours and fragrances to its overall taste.

The pasta, on the other hand, was heavenly — it came with seared tiger prawns and an extremely rich garlic-butter-infused spaghetti topped with fish roe. Charred to perfection, the fresh prawns' smoky aroma and natural sweetness went very well with the spaghetti's creamy and garlicky flavour.
Most of Alva KL's dishes can be shared or enjoyed on their own.
Up for some nibbles instead? Give the spicy Tiger Prawn Poppers or aromatic Truffle Chips a try.
Be sure to complete your meal with a dessert — the perfect way to end your sky dining experience

We tried the Above the Cloud Tiramisu, a bowl-shaped crispy cracker that holds heavenly layers of Mascarpone, rich dark cocoa powder, delicate almond sponge, and aromatic Ipoh coffee.
Light and creamy, the tiramisu wasn't too sweet, thanks to the slightly bitter flavours from the cocoa powder and Ipoh coffee. The crispy cracker also gave the tiramisu a nice crunchy finish.
Once you're all done with your meal at Alva KL, there is a poolside just next door to capture more picturesque moments of the KLCC Twin Towers
