This Kelantan Eatery Serves Exotic Breakfast Dishes With Goat's Head, Cow Testicles & More
Swing by if you're looking for something wild and different for breakfast.
While laksam and nasi kerabu might be go-to breakfast choices for Kelantanese, Restoran Pok Die in Batu 11, Ketereh, is changing the game by offering exotic dishes on their breakfast menu
Breaking from tradition, the owner, Md Rusmadi Mamat, serves unique delicacies such as grilled beef tongue, turmeric-fried beef testicles, and goat head curry at his restaurant.
According to Sinar Harian, the menu also includes popular Kelantanese dishes such as air asam perut (sour stomach soup), beef stew, ikan rebus goreng (fried steamed fish), and grilled beef.
To elevate the flavours, the dishes are also served with special dipping sauces, like one made from cherapu (button mangosteens) and mangoes, and another with soy sauce mixed with onions and chillies.

The 46-year-old restaurateur said that he started a unique food business to earn a living after the COVID-19 pandemic
"Previously, I worked as a cook on a ship for 20 years and have travelled to over 20 countries, but due to the pandemic, I had to leave the job," Sinar Harian quoted him as saying.
He also said that he decided to include various dishes on his menu after observing many restaurants in Kelantan primarily offering conventional breakfast options like nasi berlauk and nasi kerabu.
As a result, Rusmadi shared that ever since its inception, Restoran Pok Die has been attracting attention due to its distinctive dishes.

As the non-traditional cuts of meat involve intricate and different cooking processes, Rusmadi stated that customers need to place their orders in advance
Rusmadi added that dishes that do not require special cuts are available every day.
"Each dish is priced as low as RM6 to RM10 per person," he said.
He added that Restoran Pok Die operates from 7.30am to 2.30pm and is closed every Friday.
