11 Dead And 34 Injured After A Bus Plunged Into A Drain Near KLIA
The 43 bus passengers were contract workers at MASkargo.
Ten people have been confirmed dead after a factory bus crashed into a 10-metre storm drain yesterday, 7 April, in Sepang

The incident occurred along Jalan S8 Pekeliling, near the MAS Cargo Complex at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at about 11pm, New Straits Times reported.
The 43 passengers of the bus were contract workers at MASkargo, who were travelling from Nilai, Negri Sembilan to work for their midnight shift.
Eight passengers, all believed to be foreign workers, and the local bus driver died at the scene. Two other passengers died while receiving treatment at the Serdang Hospital.

Sepang police chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkifli Adamshah revealed that 34 other workers, who suffered various injuries, were sent to hospitals in Serdang, Banting, and Kajang for treatment.
The Zone Five (South Selangor) Fire and Rescue Department said they received an emergency call on the incident at 11.16pm

It took about an hour to secure the site, stabilise the bus, and cut open several parts of the bus to extricate the trapped victims.
Zone Five (South Selangor) Fire and Rescue Department Chief Mohd Fadhil Salleh told reporters that personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department, the Civil Defence Force, the Health Department, and auxiliary police from the MAS Cargo Complex participated in the emergency response.
It is believed that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle before the bus plunged into the drain

The case is being investigated for dangerous driving under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, Free Malaysia Today reported.
