28 People Test Positive For COVID-19 After Attending A Wedding In Kuala Pilah

28 people have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a wedding in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan
According to Sinar Harian, the wedding took place on 26 September at Kampung Orang Asli Langkap in Tanjung Ipoh.
Kuala Pilah District Disaster Management Committee director Mohd Faizal Abdul Manap said that the case involves a total of seven families.

44 people have undergone close contact screening
Mohd Faizal said, "Screening results found that 28 people were positive people and 16 were negative."
He then explained that the screened individuals were family members as well as wedding guests from the same village.

Out of the 28 people who tested positive, 12 were referred to a COVID-19 Low-Risk Quarantine and Treatment Center while 16 others were admitted to the Tampin Hospital to receive medical treatment
Sinar Harian reported that all families undergoing quarantine are given food aid by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM).
Mohd Faizal also added that the vaccination programme in the area will be continued in order to control the spread of COVID-19 in the Orang Asli villages.
