It is widely known that Muslims in Malaysia commemorate the 17th of Ramadan each year as Nuzul al-Quran, which signifies the spread of Islam throughout the world

On this auspicious day, Muslims gather to participate in khatam and tadarus ceremonies, collectively reciting the holy verses of the Quran.

These ceremonies include religious lectures, which are typically held nationwide to commemorate the history of the Quran's revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW.

If you're employed by a private company in these six states, it's a good idea to confirm with your employer whether your company will observe a day off on Nuzul al-Quran

On the other hand, several states, such as Kelantan and Terengganu, will enjoy a three-day holiday from Thursday, 28 March, to Saturday, 30 March.

For those employed in the Klang Valley and looking to head back to their hometowns for the long break, make sure to plan your journey wisely!
