Ministry Of Health Declares 7 New COVID-19 Cases In Malaysia

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 36.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that there are seven new cases of COVID-19 in Malaysia today, 3 March

In a tweet, MOH said the new cases bring the total number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients to 36.

"There are 14 cases being treated at Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Kuala Lumpur while 22 have been discharged," MOH said.

However, all of the seven patients are in stable condition

According to Malay Mail, the ministry will soon issue a full statement on the matter.

The news portal noted that the influx of new cases came when the MOH almost cleared all COVID-19 cases in the country.

The situation also worsened after Malaysia went through a week long political imbroglio.

As for the former minister and deputy minister who are suspected to be infected with the virus, they have tested negative

The Star named the two ministers as former Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof and his deputy minister, Datuk Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli.

But an employee in UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA), a property under the ministry's purview, has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is currently quarantined in a government hospital.
