The entrance fee has not been revised since its opening 70 years ago
"The revision is part of an initiative to improve efficiency and reduce revenue leakage," said Pahang Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, as quoted by theSundaily.
He also hopes that the increasing income will help Pahang become an independent state.
"Greater revenue will benefit the rakyat through aid and development projects," he explained at a gathering of civil servants at Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah on Monday, 2 December.

He also announced that he was pleased with the performance and achievements of the state's civil servants, which is an indication of a government's success
According to Berita Harian, he said that as an opposition state, Pahang must independently generate revenue to drive development, advancing in line with the motto 'Maju Terus Pahang'.
"This includes attracting more foreign investors and conglomerates to invest in this state, and not solely depending on tax collections," he said.
