Childminders In PJ Arrested Over Death Of A 9-Month-Old Baby

Petaling Jaya police arrested a couple of childminders from Kelana Jaya on Thursday, 29 April, over the death of a nine-month-old baby
According to Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, the couple, both aged 35, were arrested from an apartment at Jalan PJU 1A/42 Kelana Jaya.
Police records show that the nanny's husband has two prior criminal records involving drugs, namely Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 3 (1) of the Drug Dependants Act.
The baby had bruises on the mouth and his anus
The injuries were reported through autopsy results, said Mohamad Fakhrudin.
Following which, police recorded testimonies from witnesses to assist in the murder investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code
The couple has been remanded for seven days.
If found guilty, they face the death penalty.
