A dedicated couple braves travelling 40km by dirt bike every week to get to a primary school in rural Kelantan where they work
According to Harian Metro, 29-year-old Muhammad Haqqi Annazili Rusdi and his wife, 26-year-old Noor Syazwanie Mohamad, work as an operation assistant and a student management assistant at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bihai in Gua Musang, located deep within the remote jungle of Kelantan.
They have to ride a scrambler motorcycle for 90 minutes to reach the school, braving the muddy terrain and thick forest, as there are no paved roads leading there.

Haqqi said that the route they take is extremely challenging as it is also inhabited by snakes, tigers, and wild elephants
"We go out together on the motorcycle to reach this school in the remote area. The journey is very far as it takes up to one and a half hours from the main road," he said.
"If there are programmes in schools located in other villages, we will also try to reach the locations, some of which are 10km to 40km apart," he added.
He also explained that they usually stay at the school's quarters and only make the journey once a week to return to their home in Bachok.
The husband and wife, who have both been serving at SK Bihai for four years, said they want to continue working at the school despite the difficult journey
Syazwanie shared that they once fell into the mud while riding the motorcycle to attend an outdoor programme near the school.
"We were very cautious when passing through that area. However, we still fell because the path was uneven and filled with mud.
"But I am happy because it is a valuable experience for both me and my husband while working here," she said.
According to her, the challenges of working in the remote area have, instead, brought them closer.
"From a positive perspective, working in such a remote location in the forest allows us to share our problems, even though there are many challenges," she said.
