Elderly Woman With COVID-19 And Chronically Ill Husband Found Dead Together In JB Home
Investigations found that both were believed to have died within 48 hours before their bodies were discovered in their living room.

An elderly couple was found dead in the living room of their home in Taman Kota Masai, Johor Bahru
Seri Alam district police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak told New Straits Times that the Scientex police station received information about the couple's death around 1pm yesterday, 7 June.
According to him, the deceased woman was 61 years old and tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, her husband was 68 years old and suffered several health complications.

The couple did not have any biological children and their bodies were found by their 19-year-old adoptive child who decided to visit their home after they failed to answer their phone
"Investigations found that both were believed to have died within 48 hours," Mohd Sohaimi explained.
"The husband is believed to have chronic illness including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. His death was caused by his medical history. The wife suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes, but she also tested positive for COVID-19 following a screening after her death," he added.
Police found that there were no criminal elements at the scene and the case has been classified as sudden death
The couple's neighbour, known as Esah, told Harian Metro that she was informed of the couple's passing by their adoptive child.
"My neighbour's adoptive child was sobbing, saying the parents have passed away. The last time I met the couple was last week and a few days ago, I bumped into the child and greeted him while asking about his parents," she said.
"However, since last week, I haven't seen them go out and I assumed that the couple did not want to leave their home because they were following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the Movement Control Order (MCO)."
