Former MasterChef Malaysia Finalist & Her Husband Charged With Murdering Their Maid
The couple was arrested after they had lodged a police report about finding the maid's body at their apartment.

A former MasterChef Malaysia 2012 finalist and her husband have been charged with murdering their maid
According to New Straits Times, the former cooking show participant and engineer, 33-year-old Etiqah Siti Noorashikeen Mohd Sulong, and her 40-year-old contractor husband, Mohammad Ambree Yunos @ Unos, were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
They were charged at the Magistrate's Court in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah yesterday, 29 December. If convicted, they will face mandatory death sentences.
Based on the charge sheet, Etiqah and Ambree were accused of killing 28-year-old Nur Afiah Daeng Damin at a house in Amber Tower, Lido Avenue, Jalan Lintas, Penampang between 10 December and 13 December.
The couple was arrested on 14 December, which is a day after they lodged a police report claiming that they found their maid on the floor of their apartment.
They claimed that they had just returned from a holiday in Kundasang about 80km from Kota Kinabalu.
Both Etiqah and Ambree were released on bail on 21 December.

The court has now ordered the couple to remain in custody and has fixed 10 February for case mention
No plea was recorded from the accused yesterday as murder comes under the jurisdiction of the High Court, reported Free Malaysia Today.
The proceeding was presided by Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun.

Ambree was represented by Ram Singh and Kimberly Yee, while Etiqah was represented by Rakbir Singh
Sabah state prosecution director Irwan Suainbon led the prosecution team, and he was joined by deputy public prosecutor Ali Imran, reported Free Malaysia Today.
The couple was accompanied by their family members, including their three small children, in the court yesterday, according to New Straits Times.
