Students of higher learning institutions under the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) are allowed to return to campus from 1 March, but under strict health measures
This includes students from public universities, polytechnics, community colleges, and private institutions of higher learning that would need to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) strictly.
Proposals on the admission of students by the MOHE have also been fine-tuned. This includes allowing between 70% and 100% on campus grounds, depending on each institution’s capacities, reported New Straits Times.
Here's the latest SOP you need to know before heading back to campus:
1. Students and staff with either complete or incomplete vaccination status are allowed to be on campus
As for existing and new international students, only those who have completed their vaccinations would be allowed to enter Malaysia.
They will be required to quarantine for a period of seven days.
International students who have received their booster dose only need to undergo a five-day quarantine.

Not only do they need to show a negative result three days before their return, but they also have to test for COVID-19 once a week using the RTK-Ag test.

3. All higher education institutions must have enough space to accommodate students in physical classes while adhering to the SOP
Although most students can finally resume in-person classes, all higher education institutions must have enough space to accommodate students in physical classes while adhering to the SOP for teaching and learning.
Universities are also still allowed to conduct hybrid or online classes as they see fit.
