#GE15: GPS To Form Federal Govt With PN, BN, And GRS

Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Openg just announced that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has agreed to form a new government together with Perikatan Nasional, Barisan Nasional, and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will form a new government together with Perikatan Nasional, Barisan Nasional, and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), according to Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Openg

With support from GPS, which has 22 seats, PN with its 73 seats now has more than enough seats to form a stable government

Abang Johari, who is the GRS chairman, said that he is working with the three coalitions to ensure that a stable government is formed amidst the election results that produced no clear winners.

Malaysiakini reported the GPS chairman as saying that the decision was made to strengthen and stabilise the country in order to ensure the people's well-being and safeguard the economy.

Abang Johari also affirmed supporting PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the prime minister candidate.

This means that Muhyiddin will soon be the 10th Prime Minister.

Pakatan Harapan chairman Anwar Ibrahim, who had earlier claimed to have had majority numbers, is now out of the race, with the only option left for Anwar to convince Barisan to side with Harapan instead of Perikatan.
