High Court Orders Ministry Of Home Affairs To Register MUDA In 14 Days

The ministry has also been ordered to pay RM10,000 in costs.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered the Ministry of Home Affairs to register Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) as a political party within 14 days

According to Malaysiakini, the youth party won in a court battle against the ministry today, 14 December, for their refusal to register the group as a political party.

The ministry has also been ordered to pay RM10,000 in costs.

The group, via its 13 co-founders which include Muar member of parliament Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman, had filed a legal challenge against Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin and the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in January.
